Popular YouTuber and media personality Oga Obinna has stirred the pot again, claiming he played a big role in the sudden glow-up of internet sensation Goliath Wa Bungoma, real name Isaac Nekesa.
In a recent interview, Obinna boldly stated, “If Goliath didn’t come to my show, he wouldn’t be what he is today. Being on my platform pushed him to become better.”
The comment has sparked mixed reactions online, with fans recalling a raw and emotional moment just a few months ago when Obinna openly criticized Goliath during his YouTube show.
Back then, Obinna told Goliath to return to the village if he had nothing to offer Nairobi, words that brought Goliath to tears on camera.
But oh, how things have changed.
Today, Goliath Wa Bungoma is riding a new wave of fame. He recently bagged a gig as a car ambassador for Carsoko.com, one of Nairobi’s buzzing car yards.
He’s been spotted wearing sharp suits, speaking confidently, and walking with new self-assurance a far cry from the heartbroken man we saw months ago.
Obinna, one of Kenya’s biggest digital content creators, says the tough love worked.
“Sometimes you have to break someone a little to build them stronger,” he added.
While some think Obinna is just trying to ride Goliath’s current success, others agree that the show was a turning point.
From being dismissed as “loitering in Nairobi” to landing a steady job and internet fame, Goliath’s journey proves just how fast tables can turn and in the world of Kenyan entertainment, every moment counts.
